Cheesman Park Pavilion
1900 E 11th Ave, Denver, CO 80206The Denver Pride 5K 2026 brings the community together for a feel-good morning run and walk on Saturday, June 27, with the race starting at 9 a.m. from the Cheesman Park Pavilion in the heart of Capitol Hill. A beloved part of Denver Pride weekend, it is an easy, all-paces way to earn your brunch before the bigger parties begin, with runners, walkers, families, and folks in full rainbow gear filling the leafy paths of one of Denver's prettiest parks. There is no pressure on pace. People show up to run hard, stroll with friends, or push a stroller, and the whole thing has the warm, celebratory spirit of Pride rather than a competitive road race. As a fundraiser for The Center on Colfax, every registration supports the nonprofit behind Denver Pride and its year-round programs, from mental health services to youth and trans support, so lacing up does real good for the community. A few local tips. Cheesman Park sits at 1900 East 11th Avenue, a short walk or rideshare from the Capitol Hill bars and an easy connection from downtown. Registration runs around $54, with packet pickup the morning of the race starting about 7:30 a.m., so arrive early to grab your bib and warm up. Denver's altitude makes even a flat 5K feel tougher than it looks, so hydrate the day before, wear sunscreen, and take it easy if you are visiting from sea level. Cap it off at the Bubbles and Boas brunch right in the same park, and you have the perfect start to Pride Saturday in Denver.
