When is New Orleans Pride?

New Orleans has two major LGBTQ+ celebrations on very different calendars.

New Orleans Pride (June)

Produced by New Orleans Pride, the June celebration centers on an evening Pride Parade on the second Saturday of June (around 6 PM), starting and ending at Armstrong Park and looping through the Marigny and French Quarter, alongside a community festival. In 2027, the parade is expected around Saturday, June 12.

Southern Decadence (Labor Day Weekend)

The city's massive Southern Decadence takes over the French Quarter every Labor Day weekend (early September), culminating in the Grand Marshal parade on the Sunday before Labor Day, stepping off around 2 PM from the Golden Lantern. It's one of the biggest LGBTQ+ gatherings in the South.
