When is New Orleans Pride?

New Orleans hosts two major LGBTQ+ celebrations each year — Pride in June and Southern Decadence over Labor Day Weekend.

New Orleans Pride 2026

  • Dates: Thursday, June 11 through Sunday, June 14, 2026
  • Pride Parade: Saturday, June 13, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Route: Departs from Phoenix Bar on Elysian Fields Avenue, winds through the Faubourg Marigny and into the French Quarter
  • New Orleans Pride is a community-driven celebration with a parade, festival, parties, and events across the French Quarter and Marigny

Southern Decadence 2026

  • Dates: Thursday, August 28 through Monday, September 1, 2026 (Labor Day Weekend)
  • What: The largest LGBTQ+ event in the South and one of the biggest in the country, drawing 250,000+ visitors over 5 days. Now in its 54th year
  • Parade: The Grand Marshal chooses the route each year. Traditionally starts at Golden Lantern (1239 Royal St) and winds through the French Quarter
  • Where: Centered on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter, with parties and events at bars throughout the neighborhood
