Pride·Phoenix Gay Guide

When is Phoenix Pride?

Phoenix Pride is one of the largest LGBTQ+ celebrations in the Southwest, held annually in mid-October at Steele Indian School Park (300 E Indian School Rd). Unlike most U.S. cities that celebrate Pride in June, Phoenix moved its celebration to fall due to Arizona's extreme summer temperatures.

Phoenix Pride Festival

The two-day festival features over 150 entertainment performances on 6 stages, more than 300 exhibitors, food vendors, and community organizations. The event draws over 55,000 attendees each year.

Phoenix Pride Parade

The Pride Parade marches down 3rd Street from Thomas Road to Indian School Road, ending at Steele Indian School Park where the festival takes place. The parade features Grand Marshals, local luminaries, floats, music, and community organizations.

Rainbows Festival

Phoenix's second major LGBTQ+ event is the Rainbows Festival, held each spring (March 28–29, 2026) at Heritage Square Park in downtown Phoenix. This free, two-day street fair features live entertainment on 2 stages, 150+ exhibitors, food vendors, and is one of the longest-running LGBTQ+ events in Arizona.

Other Annual Events

  • Melrose on 7th Avenue Street Fair — Twice-yearly street fair in the Melrose District celebrating the neighborhood's LGBTQ+ culture, art, and local businesses
