New York City, New York
Hell's Kitchen drag bar in a converted electrical shop, no cover.
Named for the electrical-supply store that previously occupied the space, Hardware opened in 2012 on 10th Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen. The 1,800-square-foot room still has the original glass roll-up garage door and arched transom window — the industrial shell is the point, not the polish. Drag shows run nightly with no cover charge, featuring a rotating cast that includes Drag Race alumni like Brita Filter and Monét X Change alongside local regulars. Recurring nights include Skinny Brunch Sundays, TKO Thursdays, and Super Size Queen Fridays. Doors open at 2 PM daily with half-price happy hour until 8 PM, so it doubles as an afternoon neighborhood bar before the drag lineup takes over. Same ownership group as Pieces and Playhouse in the Village.
