Groesbeck, Texas
LGBT campground for men and women on Lake Limestone with cabins, RV sites and a lakeside pool; not clothing optional
Rainbow Ranch is a campground for LGBT men and women on almost 700 acres on Lake Limestone, outside Groesbeck in Limestone County, roughly halfway between Dallas and Houston. It runs men's and women's weekends on the same calendar, and it is not clothing optional: the campground rules say no nudity in public areas, and the pool rules say the same. The year runs on alternating event weekends with quieter off weekends in between. Sites include luxury and primitive tent sites, back-in and pull-through RV sites for rigs from 32 to 42 feet, and monthly RV sites with sewer. Rentals run from large cabins that sleep four with a kitchenette and bath to small lakeshore cabins for two, king and queen sleeper cabins, an apartment and a house, plus rental RVs. Rates sit inside the online booking system rather than on a rate page; event weekends carry a two-night minimum and holiday weekends three. Check-in is 3 PM and checkout 11 AM. The resort-style pool looks over the lake, and there is a covered pavilion, a communal fire pit, a pier, a fishing pond, trails and bike routes. The autumn 2026 calendar ran a Fall Women's Fest, a Fall Bear Roundup, a Lambda weekend, a men's Halloween party, a Fall Men's Fest, a Fire & Flannels women's weekend, Friendsgiving, a Men's Cowboy Roundup, a Trailer Trash Cook-Off, a Christmas potluck and New Year's fireworks over the lake. Up to two leashed pets per site, with fees in pet-friendly rentals.
