Part of the Gay Laguna Beach Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Laguna Beach, California
Laguna's 1946 first gay bar, reborn as a craft beer-and-wine spot
The Seahorse is a small beer-and-wine bar inside Pearl St. General in Laguna's Pearl District. The building opened in 1926 as a liquor and hardware store and became The Seahorse in 1946 — billed as Laguna Beach's first gay bar — and guests still pull up to the original 1940s bar. Today it pours rotating craft and micro-brew beers and wines by the glass alongside bar food, and it positions itself as open to all.
