Queer-owned plant shop and artisan market in the West Bottoms
Queer-owned plant shop and creative hub in Kansas City's West Bottoms, opened in 2022 by Austin Mosier and Tristan Carlson. Beyond the houseplants, the space carries handmade goods from 180+ local artists — ceramics, prints, gifts — with a dot system on price tags flagging whether each vendor is queer-owned, woman-owned, or BIPOC-owned. A Pay What You Can produce stand (partnered with Kanbe's Markets) sits alongside the plants. Workshops rotate through the calendar — bog gardens, seasonal projects — and Kansas City Pride has anchored vendor fairs here. The West Bottoms district is a converted industrial zone known for First Friday Weekend markets and a growing creative/queer presence.
