What Is an Atlantis Cruise Like? The 2027 Guide to Atlantis Events

Atlantis at a glance

• What it is: full-ship charters. Atlantis books the whole ship, then adds its own entertainment, parties and staff.
• Who sails: mostly gay men. Atlantis says "women comprise just 5-10% of our guests," most of them couples, and that guests range "from their 20s to retirement age and beyond."

Atlantis cruises in 2027

Atlantis's two August 2027 Mediterranean sailings (Barcelona to Rome and the Greek Isles, both on Virgin Voyages ships) still have live pages on atlantisevents.com, but on October 23, 2026 they were no longer in the site's main menu and online booking asked for a login. Call Atlantis on 310.859.8800 before planning around either one.

What an Atlantis cruise is like

Atlantis says each cruise has "over a dozen parties," including circuit-style dance parties and afternoon tea dances. On the March 2027 Allure of the Seas charter, Atlantis names its T-dances at the ship's Aqua Theater, a final-sea-day party called the Last Dance, a flying show called Air-Otic, a full day at Royal Caribbean's private beach club in Nassau with "performances, DJs, and surprises all day long," comedy in the ship's Dazzles lounge and an after-hours club in Studio B. Atlantis calls this sailing "The World's Biggest Gay Festival at Sea."

On its Virgin Voyages charters, Atlantis pairs its T-dances with Virgin's own shows and venues, such as The Red Room (singers, comics and drag) and The Manor (cabaret and nightclub).

Daytime is slower: Atlantis lists classes, demonstrations and speakers. Restaurants have open seating and no dress code, which makes it easy to meet people at dinner.

What's included, and what isn't

Atlantis says "virtually everything is included": meals, entertainment, activities and parties. The 2027 pricing pages add port fees and prepaid gratuities on top of the fare:

• Allure of the Seas (March 2027): $490 in port fees and $150 in gratuities per person. Every cabin also gets two day passes to the Nassau beach club, two drink-coupon booklets of 21 vouchers each (42 drink tickets per cabin) and two specialty dinners.
• Valiant Lady (March–April 2027): $360 in port fees and $120 in gratuities. Virgin includes basic Wi-Fi, all its restaurants, basic soft drinks and fitness classes.
• Not included: bar drinks (except the Allure coupons and the house drink package included on the Oceania Marina sailing), shore excursions, specialty restaurants on Allure, spa, and shop purchases.

So a $1,499 Allure interior cabin is about $2,139 per person once port fees and gratuities are added.

Going solo on Atlantis

Atlantis says "almost half our guests are single men," and it runs singles mixers. Its Room Share Program finds you a roommate "at no additional charge," matched on smoking preference, in the cabin categories marked on each pricing page. Without a roommate, a single traveler pays a 100% supplement: double the fare, gratuities and port fees.

How booking works

From Atlantis's terms and conditions:

• Pay in stages: 25% at booking, another 25% at 180 days before sailing and the rest at 90 days, or a $200 non-refundable deposit followed by interest-free monthly payments until 60 days out. Some suites and promotional fares must be paid in full.
• Cancellation: penalties rise as the sailing gets closer, and there are no refunds after departure. Some penalties are waived if you move your payments to another Atlantis vacation. Read the penalty table before you book.
• Name change: $250.
• Insurance: Atlantis "strongly recommends" travel insurance.
• Drugs: Atlantis has a zero-tolerance policy for illegal drugs.
