Early announcements worth knowing about if you plan far out: Big Gay Cruise celebrates its fifth anniversary with back-to-back February 2028 sailings — Symphony of the Seas from Fort Lauderdale (Feb 6–10) and Allure of the Seas from Miami (Feb 6–13) — and VACAYA has a North Pole expedition on the books.
How to use this calendar
- Book early for the marquee sailings. Atlantis's Allure charter and Olivia's Alaska runs sell their best cabins months out; fares only go up as ships fill.
- Match the line to your vibe first. The dates matter less than boarding the right boat — our guide to the best gay cruises breaks down who each line is really for.
- Think in seasons. Caribbean charters cluster in winter, rivers and Europe in spring–summer, Mexico in late fall. If your calendar is flexible, shoulder-season sailings are calmer and cheaper.

Starting fares are for inside cabins, per person, double occupancy — and they're real: Atlantis's late-2026 Mexico sailing genuinely starts at $799. But balconies on the same sailing can run 2–3x that, so decide early how much cabin matters to you.

How far in advance should I book a gay cruise?
For flagship charters, 6–12 months. Full-ship charters sell in waves, and the cheapest cabin categories and best suites go first. Booking at announcement usually means the lowest fare; waiting past the six-month mark usually means paying more for less cabin.
Do gay cruises happen year-round?
Nearly. Caribbean charters run November through April, river and Mediterranean cruises run April through October, and Alaska sails in late spring and summer. The quietest stretch is late summer, when Europe river season winds down before the fall Caribbean ramp-up.
