FLoatarama 2026 kicks off Fort Lauderdale Pride season out on the water on Saturday, June 13 — the nation's largest LGBTQ+ Pride-on-Water event and one of the most genuinely original Pride traditions anywhere. Born during the 2020 lockdown when a handful of boats spontaneously paraded down the New River as a socially distanced celebration, it has grown into a full decorated flotilla cruising through downtown Fort Lauderdale, complete with a yacht party and a waterfront tea dance. Here is how the day flows. The yacht party boards around 10:30 a.m. and departs at 11 a.m. sharp aboard a 130-foot vessel, while the public flotilla of decorated boats launches at 1:30 p.m. from Esplanade Park downtown. Can't get on a boat? Watch from the shore — waterfront spots like The Historic Downtowner, The Boathouse, and Masa serve up dockside brunches and flotilla views, but book ahead because they fill fast. The party comes ashore for a T-Dance at Bokamper's on the Intracoastal to close things out. It is also a fundraiser with real teeth: proceeds feed the FLoatarama LGBTQ Youth Fund, which has awarded more than $400,000 in grants to South Florida youth organizations.
