BF Nelson Park
434 NE Main St, Minneapolis, MN 55413The Rainbow Run 5K 2026 takes over Minneapolis on Sunday, June 28, 2026, with a 9am start and an 8:30am pre-run yoga and stretch to loosen up. Part of Twin Cities Pride, this year carries the theme "Pride in Every Stride," and it lives up to it. You line up at BF Nelson Park (434 NE Main St) in Northeast Minneapolis, then follow the actual Pride Parade route all the way to a finish near MCTC. Worth knowing, because some listings get this wrong, the run starts at BF Nelson Park and then picks up the parade route, so plan your morning around the park, not Hennepin Ave. This is not a hardcore racer's affair. Runners, joggers, and casual walkers are all welcome, and rainbow gear is basically the dress code. If you've got little ones, the kids' Rainbow Dash, a short two-block sprint, goes off at 10am and is pure joy to watch. Registration is required, so sign up online at tcpride.org/rainbow-run ahead of time or grab a spot at packet pickup. Getting there is easy. Metro Transit runs free all Pride weekend, so leave the car at home and skip the parking scramble entirely. Here's the move locals love: knocking out the parade route on foot before the 11am parade kicks off is a feel-good way to earn your festival day, and you finish with time to spare to claim a curbside parade spot. Check the official site as the date nears for firm start times and any last-minute course notes. Lace up, throw on every color you own, and go.
