The Center on Colfax
1301 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80218The Smutty Scholastic Book Fair lands during Denver Pride 2026 on Saturday, June 13, a sex-positive sapphic and romance book fair that leans frank but keeps it classy. Doors run 5pm to 9pm at The Center on Colfax, the longtime LGBTQ+ community hub at 1301 E Colfax Ave, right in the thick of the Colfax corridor on the edge of Capitol Hill. Think of it as your childhood book fair grown all the way up. Expect tables of adult and romance titles, indie authors and small presses, plus sex-positive vendor demos for the genuinely curious. The crowd skews readers who like their fiction steamy and their conversations open, so come ready to browse, ask questions, and walk out with a tote bag you will not be lending your mother. This is an 18 and over, ticketed event, so grab your spot ahead of time and bring ID at the door. Colfax parking is its own sport, so plan ahead. Street spots turn over fast and meters run late in this stretch, so give yourself a buffer. The RTD 15 and 15L buses run straight down Colfax and drop you within a block, which is the easy move if you would rather not circle. Local tip from someone who knows the block, make a night of it and stay in the neighborhood after. Capitol Hill and the surrounding blocks are packed with Denver's gay bars and late-night bites, so your book haul can roll right into a proper Pride Saturday out. Details on featured vendors and authors to be announced closer to the date.
