San Francisco's drag brunch is a Castro affair, and it runs every weekend. Beaux on Market Street puts on two shows every Saturday and Sunday. Lookout, at 3600 16th St, runs Lips and Lashes every Saturday at noon and 2 PM. Starbelly, at 3583 16th St, adds a monthly Saturday drag brunch on top.

What to know before you go
- Beaux and Lookout are 21+. Both check ID. Lookout does not accept digital IDs or photos of IDs.
- Book ahead. Beaux takes reservations through Toast and accepts walk-ins, but suggests booking for groups of three or more. Lookout says reservations must be made through Eventbrite and walk-ins are "very limited."
- Know the cover. Beaux charges a $10 cover deposit, credited to your check, which rises to $15 on Halloween and first Saturdays, with a two-drink minimum and a 20% gratuity on every check. Lookout sells $10 non-refundable tickets on Eventbrite.
- Bring small bills. Lookout says it has no ATM on premises.
Pro Tip
Beaux runs two shows a day on both weekend days, at 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM, which gives you four options each weekend. Its online reservation times run a little earlier than showtime to allow for seating.

Beaux describes itself as a Castro venue that "transforms from a craft cocktail lounge by day into a full dance club with DJs, gogo dancers, drag, and themed parties each night." On weekends the day side is drag brunch: the venue invites guests "every Saturday & Sunday at 12:30pm & 2:30pm for a wild afternoon of drag and debauchery," with a taqueria-style brunch from its neighbors at Taco Boys.
Saturdays carry a rotating title, such as Kitty Kat Drag Brunch on October 24, Lady Camden's Cheeky Lil' Drag Brunch on first Saturdays and Starya's Drag Brunch on November 14. Sunday is Babes Who Brunch. The cover is a $10 prepaid deposit per person, credited against the covers on your check, and $15 on Halloween and first Saturdays. There is a two-drink minimum per person, which non-alcoholic drinks and bottled water count toward, no food minimum, and a 20% gratuity added to all checks. The cover is non-refundable within 24 hours of your reservation time. Beaux is 21+ with valid government photo ID.

Lookout — Castro

Lookout calls itself "an iconic Castro bar and restaurant, a true San Francisco institution," and says it has raised and donated more than $2.18 million for the community since opening in 2007. Its Saturday drag brunch is Lips and Lashes, with two seatings, one at noon and one at 2 PM, and a rotating cast. Tickets are $10 and sold through Eventbrite; the venue says reservations must be made there and walk-ins are very limited. Lips and Lashes is 21+, and tickets are non-refundable.

Starbelly — Castro

Starbelly is an American restaurant on 16th Street, and once a month it hosts Bacon & Leggs, a Saturday drag brunch hosted by Bobby Friday of the Haus of Friday. The restaurant offers two seatings, at 11 AM and 1:30 PM. It does not publish which Saturday of the month the brunch falls on, or the price, on its page; dates are booked through OpenTable, so check there for the next one.

Pick Beaux for flexibility. It runs on both weekend days, with two shows each day, and the cover goes toward your check.
Pick Lookout for a Saturday ticket booked in advance. It sells $10 tickets on Eventbrite for set seatings, so your seating time is locked in before you arrive.
Pick Starbelly for a restaurant brunch. It is a sit-down meal with a monthly show; it does not publish an age rule, so ask when you book.

What to expect at a San Francisco drag brunch
Expect a hosted show with a rotating cast. At Beaux the meal is a taqueria-style brunch, the drinks count toward a two-drink minimum, and a 20% gratuity is already on the check. At Lookout your $10 Eventbrite ticket holds a place at the show; the listing promises food and specialty cocktails but does not say what the ticket includes. Bring cash, since Lookout has no ATM.
