Pride·San Francisco Gay Guide

When is San Francisco Pride?

San Francisco Pride is one of the oldest and largest LGBTQ+ Pride celebrations in the world, with organizers citing over one million people each year. Produced by SF Pride, it takes place on the last full weekend of June.

When It Happens

  • Weekend: the last full weekend of June — in 2027, expected to be June 26-27
  • Parade: Sunday at 10:30 AM, up Market Street from the Embarcadero (near Beale) to Civic Center (8th) — about 1.5 miles, past City Hall
  • Celebration: both Saturday and Sunday at Civic Center Plaza, ~11 AM-6 PM, with multiple stages, community booths, food, and art

The parade is one of the largest in the country, with 250+ contingents.

Other Major LGBTQ+ Events

  • Folsom Street Fair — the last Sunday of September, along Folsom Street (8th to 13th) in SoMa. The world's largest leather and fetish event, with huge crowds across 13 city blocks
  • Up Your Alley (Dore Alley) — a summer street fair in SoMa, a smaller fetish-focused precursor to Folsom
  • Frameline Film Festival — the annual LGBTQ+ film festival each June, showing 150+ films across the city
  • Castro Street Fair — an annual fall neighborhood fair celebrating Castro District culture
  • Trans March — the Friday of Pride weekend, one of the largest trans-specific marches in the world
  • Dyke March — the Saturday of Pride weekend, a grassroots march for queer women and allies
