When is Washington DC Pride?

Washington DC's Capital Pride is one of the biggest Pride celebrations on the East Coast, drawing hundreds of thousands of people each year. The 2026 celebration runs June 12–21.

Pride Parade — Saturday, June 20, 2026

  • Start time: 3:00 PM
  • Start point: 14th Street and T Street NW
  • Route: South on 14th Street to Thomas Circle, counter-clockwise around Thomas Circle, south on 14th to Pennsylvania Avenue, then east on Pennsylvania Avenue
  • End point: Pennsylvania Avenue and 9th Street NW
  • End time: Approximately 8:00 PM

Pride Festival — June 20–21, 2026

The free festival takes over Pennsylvania Avenue — "America's Main Street" — between 3rd and 7th Streets NW.

  • Saturday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Sunday: 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Live music, vendors, community organizations, and the Capital Pride Concert on Sunday evening

2026 Theme

The 2026 theme is "Exist. Resist. Have the Audacity!" — a call to live loudly, stand against erasure, and embody collective LGBTQ+ strength. The theme was unveiled at the Pride Reveal party on February 26, 2026.

Pride Week Events

The full June 12–21 schedule includes Capital Pride Honors (the formal awards ceremony), block parties, film screenings, bar crawls, and community events across the city. Check capitalpride.org for the complete calendar.
