Norfolk, Virginia
West Ghent queer bar with drag, goth nights, and kitchen until late.
An LGBTQ+-owned bar and cabaret venue near Old Dominion University in Norfolk’s West Ghent neighborhood. Named for the cross streets (37th and Hampton Blvd), it started as an Asian-themed restaurant before evolving into a full queer entertainment bar with a kitchen that stays open late — wings, burgers, quesadillas, and Philly cheesesteak eggrolls. The weekly rotation covers a lot of ground: Monday game night, Wednesday karaoke, Friday goth night, Saturday drag shows, and Sunday drag brunch. The higher-production draw is ticketed cabaret dinner theater — themed shows like "Galactic Tease" and "Champagne & Sin" run $8–20. LGBT Life Center uses the space for community events, anchoring it as more than just a bar in the Hampton Roads scene.
