Boston, Massachusetts
Beacon Hill speakeasy-style bar with a weekly Sunday drag brunch
Carrie Nation Restaurant & Cocktail Club is a Prohibition-themed restaurant and bar on Beacon Street in Boston's Beacon Hill, a short walk from the State House, with a windowless speakeasy lounge behind a red velvet curtain. Every Sunday it hosts Drag Me To Brunch, hosted by Destiny Boston and Dee Dee de Ray with guest performers: a buffet from 11 a.m. to noon, then the show from noon to about 2 p.m. Admission is $30, the buffet is $25 more, and it's 21+. It's a Gay Friendly restaurant rather than a gay bar, and the Sunday drag brunch is the reason to book.
