Part of the Gay Jackson Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Jackson, Mississippi
Jackson's only dedicated gay nightclub, a Black queer cultural hub on US-80
Club Metro 2.0 is a Black queer nightlife hub on Jackson's west side, and one of the few dedicated gay clubs in a city — and a state — with very little such space. It opens Friday and Saturday nights and runs late, built around a rotating lineup of DJs working R&B, hip-hop, and house. The complex is more than a dance floor: there's a full bar with food service and a hookah lounge, which makes it a place to settle in for the night rather than pass through. It also leans into a civic role, partnering with local advocacy groups to host community-focused events alongside the parties. For LGBTQ+ Mississippians on the west side it's a weekend anchor; for a visitor, it's a window into a scene that does a lot with a small number of rooms.
