Queer worker-owned bakery serving sourdough and pastries in Winnipeg's West End
Eadha Bakery is a worker co-operative in Winnipeg's West End operating under a queer, anti-racist, decolonial mandate. Six worker-owners run the operation, which transitioned from a sole proprietorship to a co-op in 2023. The focus is sourdough — bread and pastries made with flour from Prairie Flour Mills and ingredients sourced from regional farms and cooperatives. The bakery runs a pay-it-forward voucher program so West End neighbors facing food access barriers can pick up bread and pastries without explanation. Pizza fundraisers benefit local organizations like Sunshine House's Trans ID Clinic. Open Wednesday through Saturday, 9 to 3.
