Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
Gay-owned breakfast spot near the boardwalk with drag brunch Sundays
Goolee's Grille is a gay-owned breakfast and brunch spot one block from the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. Owner George Stakias—"Goolee" is a play on the Greek for Georgie—operates a morning-only kitchen specializing in 10 varieties of pancakes and 17 different omelettes, including the signature crab omelette. The restaurant has hosted Rehoboth's original drag brunch every third Sunday for over eight years. In 2025, the venue became a local flashpoint for community support when hundreds of counter-protesters turned out to defend a scheduled drag event.
