Lark has been a staple of the neighborhood for years, offering a comfort-food-forward menu anchored by excellent wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza (regularly called some of the best in the area), quality burgers, sandwiches, pastas, nachos, and a late-night After Dark menu for when you need fuel between bars. The walnut-finished oak bar pours 15 craft beers on tap alongside an extensive wine list and creative cocktails — the mule drinks and chai cocktail are fan favorites. The real hidden gem is the massive back patio, one of the largest outdoor dining spaces on North Halsted, with lounge seating, games, umbrellas, and a vibe that makes it easy to lose an entire afternoon. Inside, cozy up by the fireplace with a board game or grab a table in the semi-private Pizza Room for groups up to 30. Every Saturday and Sunday starting at 11 AM, Lark hosts a drag brunch with rotating performers, bottomless drinks, and a full brunch menu — it fills up fast, so reserve ahead.
