Minneapolis, Minnesota
Northeast lounge and theater with nightly drag and live music.
LUSH Lounge & Theater is a queer-owned two-room venue on Central Avenue in Northeast Minneapolis. Out front is the Lounge — a warm cocktail bar with green velvet curtains, brass lighting, and a big tropical mural — and behind it sits a full theater built for ticketed shows, done up in black and white with plush seating and VIP booths. The theater is what sets LUSH apart from a standard bar: a steady calendar of drag brunches, drag shows, burlesque, comedy, and live music, much of it all-ages-friendly at brunch and 18+ at night. Come for a cocktail up front or a show in back — it's the anchor of Northeast's queer nightlife and an easy night out away from the downtown Hennepin cluster.
