Nashville, Tennessee
On-site roasting coffee bar on Gay Street with signature espresso drinks.
Moonshot is a 600-square-foot coffee bar and cafe on Gay Street in Nashville's North Capitol area, roasting its own beans on-site with a Bellwether cloud-connected roaster. The espresso program runs on a La Marzocco Linea, and signature drinks include The Colada (espresso with pineapple, coconut, and lime) and The Roxy (espresso with orange blossom and tonic water). Acai bowls, breakfast sandwiches, and fresh pastries round out the menu. Founded in 2020 by Scott Baird of Bay Area hospitality group Big Little Fish, the space sits on the ground floor of a TownePlace Suites. The interior is small and intentional — white tile, marble counter, pastel pink and green accents, potted plants. Open daily 7 AM to 3 PM. Note: Gay Street is named after early Nashville landowner James Gay, not the LGBTQ+ community — Nashville's gayborhood is Church Street, about a mile west.
