Part of the Gay Green Bay Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Green Bay, Wisconsin
Wisconsin's oldest continuously operating gay bar, on Cedar St since 2000
Napalese Lounge and Grille is one of Wisconsin's longest-running gay bars, founded in 1982 on South Broadway and at its current Cedar Street location since 2000. Long the state's second-oldest gay bar, it's now frequently called Wisconsin's oldest continuously operating one following the closure of Milwaukee's storied This Is It!. Inside it's understated and unpretentious: a stage for the monthly Ladies of the Lounge drag revue, a back room with pool tables (free on Thursdays), dart boards, and pinball. Out front, the patio holds Green Bay's first LGBTQ+ mural, unveiled in 2021 with backing from the Mayor's Office and the Packers, and the kitchen turns out burgers that have landed on statewide best-of lists. Four decades in, Napalese is less a night-out destination than Green Bay's queer community anchor, the neighborhood bar that's simply always been there.
