Part of the Gay Oceanside Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Oceanside, California
North County San Diego's LGBTQ+ resource hub for mental health, youth, and housing
The North County LGBTQ Resource Center is the hub of LGBTQ+ life across North County San Diego — the coastal and inland communities from Oceanside and Carlsbad to Vista, San Marcos, and Escondido. The organization traces back to 2008, when it incorporated as the North County LGBT Coalition Force, and opened under its current name in 2011. It moved in 2024 into a far larger home of its own on Apple Street in Oceanside, an 18,000-square-foot space that reflects how much the organization has grown. Its work is direct services rather than nightlife: behavioral health and counseling, HIV testing and prevention, youth and senior support groups, immigration help, housing and homelessness assistance, substance-use support, and name- and gender-marker change assistance. It also runs Pride by the Beach, North County's annual Pride celebration. For a local who needs support or a visitor looking to connect with community away from the bar scene, this is the place to start.
