Minneapolis, Minnesota
Loring Park drag dinner-theater with shows seven nights a week.
Minneapolis's first purpose-built drag performance venue, named for late Twin Cities drag legend Roxy Marquis. The 125-seat cabaret theater in Loring Park runs a ticketed dinner-theater format with production-grade lighting and sound — this isn't a bar with a makeshift stage. Programming runs nearly every night: Friday Night Spotlight and Saturday's FLAMboyANCE shows anchor the weekend, Sunday Bottomless Drag Brunch includes mimosas and Bloody Marys, and Tuesday brings Drag Queen Charity Bingo. BeBe Zahara Benet, Drag Race Season 1 winner and Minneapolis native, is among the featured performers. The building also houses the 24-hour Nicollet Diner and the On the RoX cocktail lounge with patio, so there's reason to show up well before showtime.
