Jackson (WY), Wyoming
Wyoming's oldest ski area and summer adventure park near downtown
Established in 1936, Snow King Mountain is Wyoming's oldest ski area and is situated within walking distance of downtown Jackson. Known to locals as 'The Town Hill,' it offers 500 acres of skiable terrain and night skiing in the winter. The summer season features the Cowboy Coaster, an alpine slide, and a zip line billed as the steepest in North America. A new observatory and planetarium opened at the 7,808-foot summit in 2024, alongside a mountaintop stage that hosts the 'King Concerts' live music series.
