Historic 1936 theater presenting year-round productions and art exhibitions
A historic theater dating back to 1936, originally opened as the Margo Theater and now named after Hattie "Sunshine" Brooks, who donated the building to the city. After a $1.5 million renovation, it's home to the Oceanside Theatre Company (OTC), which produces professional-quality plays, musicals, and youth productions year-round. The lobby doubles as a rotating art gallery curated to complement each production, with artist open houses during Oceanside's First Friday Art Walk. The intimate venue also hosts the annual Oceanside International Film Festival every February, plus live concerts and special events.
