Late-night gay bar on Call Lane with drag hosts
The New Penny is on Call Lane, around the corner from the bars on Lower Briggate. It describes itself as the oldest gay bar in Leeds, with a friendly, clubby vibe, and it says it's open late every night. Drag hosts front several nights a week, and its Instagram posts the line-up, from Penny Monday with Franny to the Friday and Saturday shows. It doesn't have a website, so Instagram and Facebook are the places to check what's on. It's a late-finish kind of place, so it works well as the last stop of the night.
