Drag cabaret and gay bar on Lower Briggate
The Viaduct Showbar is a drag cabaret bar on Lower Briggate, in the Freedom Quarter. It bills itself as the UK's premier fully choreographed drag cabaret venue, and its own site calls it a cabaret and gay bar. The Broadway Lounge, a VIP balcony with its own bar, looks straight across at the stage. It opens from 1pm every day and stays open late, until 5am on Fridays and Saturdays. The listings run from afternoon sessions to evening shows and afternoon bingo, and you can book tables and VIP packages on its website, which is worth doing for a weekend show. The Viaduct app has offers and updates.
