Gay bar at the top of Scotswood Road
The Yard is a gay bar at the top of Scotswood Road, in the Pink Triangle, Newcastle's gay village. It describes itself as "Newcastle Gay Scenes longest owned and operated safe LGBT space for the North East Gay Community". There's no website, so its Facebook page is the place to check what's on before you head over: that's where it posts its party nights and themed weekends. The Eagle, The Bank Bar and Number 52 Sauna are all on the same stretch of Scotswood Road, so it's easy to fold into a night out along the strip.
