Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Pennsylvania Ave NW, 3rd to 7th St, Washington, DC 20004The Capital Pride Festival and Concert 2026 takes over Pennsylvania Avenue NW on Sunday, June 21, from midday into the night, bringing the largest Pride celebration in the nation's capital to the grand boulevard between the White House and the U.S. Capitol. The festival is free and all ages, with multiple stages, hundreds of community and vendor booths, food and drink, and a closing concert that headlines the day on the Capitol Stage near 3rd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The 2026 concert lineup is led by Maren Morris, with Leikeli47, Lisa Lisa, and a full bill of performers and DJs keeping the avenue moving all afternoon and evening. Spread along the street you will find a marketplace of LGBTQ+ owned businesses and nonprofits, a family-friendly zone, and food vendors representing the city's diverse neighborhoods. With the Capitol dome as a backdrop, it is one of the most striking settings for any Pride festival in the country. A few local tips. Get there in the early afternoon for the shortest entry lines and the best spot near the main stage. Metro is by far the easiest way in, with the Archives, Federal Triangle, and Judiciary Square stations all a short walk from the festival footprint. Bring a refillable water bottle, because D.C. June heat is intense out on the open avenue, and wear comfortable shoes for a long day on pavement. Admission is free, so come ready to shop local, catch the concert, and celebrate downtown with the whole community.
