Sheridan Rd & Broadway, Chicago, IL 60613The Chicago Pride Parade 2026 is the grand finale of Pride Month, stepping off Sunday, June 28, at 11 a.m. and drawing more than a million spectators to the North Side. Now in its 55th year and carrying the theme "Free to Be Proud," it's one of the largest and most exuberant Pride parades in the world — the centerpiece of Chicago Pride 2026 and the day the entire city turns out in rainbow. The parade steps off at Sheridan Road and Broadway in Uptown and winds south through the heart of the action: down Broadway and Halsted through Northalsted (Boystown), east on Belmont, and finishing near Diversey and Sheridan by Lincoln Park. Expect around 150 colorful entries — floats, marching bands, dance troupes, community organizations, drag performers, and local businesses — plus block-party energy spilling out of every bar and side street along the route. The celebration runs all day and well into the night across Lakeview. A few essentials from your local friends: arrive by mid-morning to claim a good viewing spot along Broadway or Halsted, and absolutely take the CTA — the Red Line (Addison, Belmont, Sheridan) and the Brown Line (Belmont) are your best bets, since street closures and parking make driving miserable. Bring water, sunscreen, and cash, wear comfortable shoes, and have a plan to meet your group if phones get overwhelmed in the crowds. Then just soak it in — this is Chicago at its proudest, loudest, and most joyful.
