Thalia Hall
1807 S Allport St, Chicago, IL 60608Embodied: A Pride x Juneteenth Variety Show brings Chicago's Black LGBTQ+ community to the stage at historic Thalia Hall in Pilsen on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Presented by Brave Space Alliance — the South Side's Black- and trans-led LGBTQ+ center — this first-annual celebration sits at the powerful intersection of Pride Month and Juneteenth, honoring Black liberation and joy in the same breath. The variety-show format means a packed bill of drag, burlesque, music, and dance, spotlighting Black, trans, and gender-nonconforming artists from across Chicago. It's a night that doubles as a fundraiser and a community showcase, channeling the spirit of Pride's roots as a celebration led by Black and brown LGBTQ+ people. Expect bold performances, a warm crowd, and one of the most meaningful entries on the Chicago Pride 2026 calendar. Thalia Hall is one of the city's most beautiful music venues, a restored 1892 hall in the heart of Pilsen with food and drinks from the adjoining Dusek's and Punch House if you want to make a full evening of it. Tickets start around $33 and benefit Brave Space Alliance's programming, so buy in advance. Reach Pilsen via the CTA Pink Line to 18th Street, then a short walk to Allport. Arrive a little early to grab a drink and a good spot, and come ready to celebrate community, resilience, and the Black trans and LGBTQ+ artists at the center of it all.
