West 27th Street (Chelsea)
W 27th St between 11th & 12th Ave, New York, NY 10001Folsom Street East 2026 kicks off the leather, kink, and fetish corner of Pride season with a bold outdoor street fair on Sunday, June 21, along West 27th Street in Chelsea. The East Coast cousin of San Francisco's famous Folsom celebration, this unapologetically sex-positive, community-driven festival reclaims a city block for a daytime party built around leather culture, gear, and self-expression for adults of all genders and orientations. Expect vendors selling leather, harnesses, and gear from New York and national makers, live performances and DJs, demos and education on kink and BDSM culture, and a welcoming crowd that spans every experience level. The dress code leans into leather, gear, harnesses, and uniforms, though it is encouraged rather than enforced and streetwear is perfectly fine, since the whole point is celebrating the community openly and without shame. Proceeds support LGBTQ+ and community organizations, giving the party a charitable backbone beneath the bravado. A few local tips. The fair runs along West 27th Street near the Hudson on the far west side of Chelsea, reachable via the 1 train to 28th Street or the C and E to 23rd Street, then a walk west. The event is strictly 18 and over and a valid government photo ID is required at the gate, so bring yours. It is an outdoor daytime event, so wear sunscreen and bring water, and pack cash for vendors and the bar. Bold, body-positive, and proudly out in the open, Folsom Street East is one of the most distinctive entries on the NYC Pride 2026 calendar.
