The Pride Bigger Than Texas Night Parade is the signature event of San Antonio Pride and the single reason this celebration stands apart from every other Pride in the country. While most cities march under the midday sun, San Antonio waits until dark — the parade steps off at 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, and heads up North Main Avenue through the heart of the gayborhood. Floats glow with neon and LED lights, the bars along The Strip open onto the street, and the whole district becomes one continuous moving party. The route departs from the Crockett Park area and rolls north along North Main Avenue through San Antonio's designated Pride Cultural Heritage District, passing every major gay bar on The Strip. Expect floats, drag performers, dance crews, community groups, and local businesses, all lit up against the night, with around 50 years of San Antonio Pride history behind the celebration in 2026. The best viewing is the stretch between Josephine and Evergreen, where you can duck into a bar for a drink and step right back out for the next float, or in front of the 1891 Bonham Exchange building, which always draws a huge, loud crowd. Watching the parade is completely free — just show up along North Main and find your spot. Get there by 8 p.m., because The Strip fills up fast once the festival lets out at 7. It cools into the 80s by parade time, but still bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and carry cash for the street vendors.
