Hell on Heels 2026 kicks off Pride Month for St. Louis's LGBTQ+ leather and drag communities on Saturday, June 6, at 8 p.m. at Bar:PM in Carondelet. Presented by the Rudis Leather Society, this annual competition is a beloved celebration of the connections between the drag and leather scenes — pairing drag queens in leather and leather men in drag for a night of bold, campy, high-energy performance the weekend before official Pride. Expect a packed room, fierce competition, and the warm, welcoming chaos that makes St. Louis's south-side gay nightlife so much fun. The show is part fundraiser, part community throwdown, with proceeds historically benefiting local LGBTQ+ causes, so your cover and your tips do some good. It's a great entry point if you're curious about the leather community or just want a livelier, edgier alternative to a standard bar night — the crowd is friendly, the performers are committed, and the energy runs high from the first walk to the final crowning. Bar:PM sits at 7109 South Broadway in the Carondelet neighborhood on the city's south side, with street parking around the venue and rideshare the easiest option late at night. The event runs roughly 8 to 11 p.m. and skews 21-and-over, so bring a valid ID. Come ready to cheer, tip your performers, and toast the start of a full month of St. Louis Pride 2026 events. For a lot of locals, Hell on Heels is the unofficial opening bell of Pride season.
