In 2026 it set off from the Civic Centre at 12 noon and travelled about half a mile down Northumberland Street to Grey's Monument, where it ended with speeches. Members of the public could simply turn up, while community groups, businesses and groups of more than 20 friends were asked to register. The 2027 date has not been announced yet: this follows the 2026 event on 25 and 26 July and will be updated when the organisers confirm it.
