Where Can I Find Drag Shows in Provincetown?

Provincetown has been a drag capital since long before it was mainstream. In summer, there are multiple drag shows every single night across town.

Main Drag Venues

  • The Crown & Anchor Hotel & Bars (247 Commercial St) — The Cabaret Room is Ptown's premier drag stage; summer 2025/2026 shows include "Tina Burner: Boob Tube" (Sun–Thu at 7:30pm) with live singing, parodies, and costume changes
  • Post Office Cafe & Cabaret (Commercial St) — Multiple shows nightly including "DIVA!" drag spectacular (featuring Delta Miles, Roxy Pops, and Qya Cristal), "A Woman Named Carlos" (Thursday nights at 10pm with Broadway hits and 80s pop), and Drag Brunch on Fridays and Saturdays hosted by Raquel Blake
  • Red Room (258 Commercial St) — Underground cabaret that hosts touring RuPaul's Drag Race performers; recent shows include Jackie Cox ("Nurse Jackie") and Ginger Minj with Qya Cristal
  • Live at The Art House — Comedy, cabaret, and drag performances in an intimate theater setting

What to Expect

Ptown drag leans heavily into cabaret tradition — live singing, sharp comedy, audience interaction, and high production values. This isn't just lip-sync; many Ptown queens are trained vocalists and comedians who perform residencies all summer.

Drag Brunch

Post Office Cafe & Cabaret runs the main drag brunch on Fridays and Saturdays during summer season, hosted by Raquel Blake and A Woman Named Carlos. Butch's at Crown & Anchor also hosts brunch events tied to cabaret shows.

Special Events

  • CabaretFest (June 8–14, 2026) — A full week dedicated to cabaret and drag performances across all venues
  • Carnival Week (August 15–22, 2026) — Drag is everywhere during Ptown's biggest week, culminating in the massive costume parade
