Provincetown, Massachusetts
Hotel and entertainment complex with bars, cabaret, and a pool.
The Crown & Anchor is Provincetown's largest entertainment complex, anchoring the center of Commercial Street. Under one roof it brings together a cluster of bars (a video bar, a dance club, and a leather/cruise bar), plus a cabaret theater, a beach club and pool, a gallery, and Butch's, the restaurant from James Beard Award-winning chef Kelly Fields. In summer it's a hub of P-town nightlife, running drag and cabaret with resident performers like Varla Jean Merman and Dina Martina alongside late-night dancing. The property changed hands in 2026, with Tryst Hospitality taking over and reopening the bars and entertainment in phases through the summer while a larger redevelopment is planned; the hotel rooms remain closed for the 2026 season. It still functions as the all-in-one center of the scene, where you can spend an entire evening moving between its rooms without stepping back onto the street.
