Provincetown, Massachusetts
Chef-driven New American dining and drag brunch at the Crown.
Butch's is the flagship restaurant inside the historic Crown & Anchor complex, opened over Memorial Day weekend 2024 by James Beard Award-winning chef Kelly Fields, formerly of Willa Jean in New Orleans. Fields named it Butch's as a reclaiming of a word that once unsettled her growing up queer in the South, and the kitchen leans into that Southern root: pimento cheese, buttery biscuits, shrimp and grits, and lobster deviled eggs alongside seasonal, vegetable-forward plates. It is the central sit-down dining room of the complex, a few steps from the cabaret, bars, and pool deck, which makes it an easy anchor for a night that starts with dinner and rolls into a show. The weekend drag brunches on Saturday and Sunday are the signature draw, and they are the kind of P-town meal worth booking ahead.
