LGBTQ+ mixer-and-show program pairing pre-curtain cocktails with Alley Theatre main-stage productions.
An LGBTQ+ theater program at the Alley Theatre, Houston's oldest professional theater company (founded 1947) and the third-oldest resident theater in the United States. Presented in partnership with OutSmart Magazine, ActOUT pairs a free pre-show mixer with select Thursday evening performances throughout the season, now in its 16th year. The format is straightforward: show up an hour before curtain for socializing, drinks, and music, then take your seat for a main-stage production. The Alley operates two stages — the 774-seat Hubbard and the 296-seat Neuhaus — in its downtown building on Texas Avenue. ActOUT nights rotate across major productions each season.
