Key West, Florida
Gay men's sailing charters and sunset sails out of Key West.
Blu Q is a gay men's sailing catamaran that has run out of Key West since 1996, when Captain Steve started it. The 42-foot boat does all-male day trips, sunset sails, reef snorkeling, kayaking, and backcountry island runs, plus private charters, typically a few days a week out of the Historic Seaport on Margaret Street. It bills itself as the island's only all-gay sailing charter. The all-male day trips are 18+, BYOB, and clothing-optional once you're out on the water; the sunset sails are open to all adults. Snorkeling stops sit in the calm, beginner-friendly waters of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge and move with the weather, so the exact reef changes trip to trip. For gay travelers it's the standout on-the-water option, less a booze cruise than a half-day of actual sailing with a small, social group.
