Part of the Gay Oklahoma City Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
OKC's gay resort complex since 1968 with piano bar, nightclubs, and pool
The District Hotel is an adults-only LGBTQ+ hotel and nightlife complex on NW 40th Street, in the heart of Oklahoma City's gay district. It's the latest chapter of a property that has anchored the neighborhood for decades — long known as the Habana, once billed as the largest gay resort in the Southwest — and was rebranded as the District around 2020 with a stated aim of opening up from a gay-men's resort to the broader queer community. The complex works as a self-contained hangout: themed guest rooms, on-site bar and nightclub spaces, and a pool area that becomes the social center in summer. For travelers it's less a standard hotel than a place to stay inside the scene, and a long-running landmark of queer Oklahoma City whatever the name on the sign.
