Part of the Gay Chicago Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Chicago, Illinois
A two-level Northalsted nightclub with Latin, hip-hop, and drag nights.
Fantasy is a two-level LGBTQ+ nightclub on Halsted in Northalsted, occupying the longtime nightclub space that previously housed Circuit. Its draw is a sound you don't get much elsewhere on the strip — DJ sets that blend Latin rhythms with hip-hop and pop — plus a steady roster of drag, including Sativa Diamond's Hot Boxxx on Friday nights. The layout gives you a big back dance floor, a front lounge and an outdoor patio for when you need air, and it runs late on weekends as one of Northalsted's after-hours anchors. For years it hosted the marathon Survivor Chicago drag competition, which wrapped its final season in 2025 after more than seven years — a good sense of the kind of homegrown drag programming the club is built around.
