Halifax, Nova Scotia
Downtown dinner theatre and primary hub for Halifax's queer performance scene.
Operating in downtown Halifax since 1987, this 128-seat venue specializes in interactive pop-culture parody musicals accompanied by a three-course meal. While not an exclusively queer venue, it is a primary hub for Halifax's queer performance scene, hosting 'Queer-prov' on the last Wednesday of every month. The improv night is led by drag artist Bunni Lapin and received Silver for Best Comedy Night in The Coast's Readers' Choice awards. Additionally, the venue serves as the regular stage for the Halifax Gay Men's Chorus 'Queerbaret' fundraisers.
