House of Eights is a queer-owned dance studio on the third floor of a Sackville Street building in downtown Halifax, founded by Abady Alzahrani in 2019. The studio runs 35-plus drop-in classes per week for ages 16 and up — hip hop, jazz, heels, waacking, K-pop, contemporary, Latin fusion, reggaeton, and tap. Listed on Nova Scotia's TransCare+ directory and a member of Dance Nova Scotia, the studio has hosted Halifax Pride vogue workshops with instructor Twysted Miyake-Mugler. It's widely described as Atlantic Canada's hub for drop-in dance.
