Five-floor gay sauna near Grands Boulevards, open since 1983
IDM is a five-floor gay sauna in the 9th arrondissement near Grands Boulevards, open since 1983 — one of the longest-running in Paris. The basement holds a Finnish sauna, hammam, and large jacuzzi. Upper floors have themed private cabins, darkrooms, and lounges. The ground floor houses a genuine gym with 20-plus cardio and weight machines that operates clothing-optional, which sets IDM apart from most bathhouses. The crowd leans 20s through 40s and draws both locals and visitors looking for something outside the Marais circuit. Naturist evenings run on weekends. Open daily from noon, with Friday and Saturday nights running until 2 AM. Entry starts around 21 euros, with reduced rates for under-35s.
