Chicago, Illinois
A Northalsted fetish and underwear shop with an in-store barbershop.
Gay-owned fashion-and-fetish shop on Halsted in Northalsted, right next door to Sidetrack. Men's Room opened in Chicago in 2016 and moved to its current, larger storefront in August 2022; it's part of a small chain with sibling stores in Toronto and Montreal. The inventory runs from leather harnesses and fetish gear (Mr. S Leather, Nasty Pig, Cellblock 13, Northbound, Barcode Berlin) to a wall of jockstraps and underwear, plus adult toys and grooming products. A full old-school barbershop runs inside the retail space, with LGBTQ+ barbers doing fades, straight-razor shaves, and beard trims — book it if you want to look sharp before a night out. Late hours are the other reason to know it: open past midnight on weeknights and to 1 AM Thursday through Saturday, it's one of the few shops on the strip you can hit after the bars.
