Part of the Gay Los Angeles Guide — bars, events & things to do.
Los Angeles, California
Two-story WeHo dance club with go-go dancers and drag since 1989.
Micky's is a two-story gay nightclub on Santa Monica Boulevard that has stayed gay-owned and operated since 1989, giving it a longer claim on the West Hollywood strip than most of its neighbors. The main level holds the primary dance floor and performance stage; upstairs there's a lounge, and an outdoor patio looks out over the boulevard. Go-go dancers and rotating DJs run through the week, and weekend nights stretch to 4 AM. The room is at its loudest and most famous on Mondays, when the long-running Showgirls drag showcase takes the stage with a rotating lineup of WeHo's best performers. It's a dance-and-show crowd more than a quiet-drink one, the kind of place a traveler can drop into solo and find the night already going. The strip's club anchor, with Revolver and Mother Lode within a short walk if you want to bar-hop.
